Any Indian citizen of 18 years or above may join, under their real name as it appears on their voter ID. Each person joins only once. It costs nothing, today and always.

A volunteer from your state verifies your name and citizenship with your voter ID.

Welcome
You receive a welcome note with the charter and invitations to the community spaces.
What Digital Citizens receive
- Use of the letterhead for civic correspondence on digital issues, through a fair review process.
- Communities of real people: WhatsApp and Telegram spaces where every participant is a verified citizen under their real name.
- Writing for the website under your real name.
- The seva board: small open tasks anyone can pick up. One hour a month is a real contribution.
- Open house: a monthly online gathering, open to every Digital Citizen.
- Workshops, contests, a monthly newsletter with a citizen spotlight, an annual honour roll, and a templates library of grievance letters and complaint guides.
The joining form
A standing public notice: Digital Citizens of India never collects money. No fees, no donations, no bank account. No one is ever authorised to collect money in our name. If someone asks you for money in our name, they do not speak for us.
